Rings Gandalf

In the book The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien why does Gandalf, Frodo, Bilbo, Elrond ang Galadriel leave?

In the end of the book The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien why does Gandalf, Frodo, Bilbo, Elrond ang Galadriel (The ring bearers) leave middel-earth at Grey Havens?

Okay I’ll answer the question one by one since they have different reasons.

1. Gandalf leave because as you can see he was sent back as Gandalf the White because he has not yet finsihed his tasks. He left because his task was now over. (Just fun fact: Gandalf might be the only one who was able to go back to Valinor because Saruman was corrupted, Allatar and Pallando started cults and Radagast has deeply attached himself to nature)

2. Frodo left because he was wounded both mentally, emotionaly and physically by the quest. The wound he got form the witch king never healed and will never heal in middle earth. Even if the quest is finished and the ring of power was destroyed, the memories still haunts him. He came to valinor to heal those wounds. (Fun facts: The descendants of Samwise Gamgee believed that the Valars granted Sam a special gift. They permit him to travel to Valinor and be reunited with frodo. He was given this oppurtunity because he himself held the ring of power for two days (you know when frodo got stinged by the spider names shelob and willingly gave it to Frodo)

Bilbo: He was one of the ring bearer who let go of the ring freely and by their own will. When he left the ring in his house and let go of its power he was given passage to Valinor)

Elrond: This quite go to the History of Elrond. The mother of Arwen and the daughter of Galadriel is the wife of elrond. She was walking through Caradhras (Redhorn pass) to go see her mother which is Galadriel but she was attacked and tortured by Orcs. her two sons saved her and elrond healed her but she still got some wounds that never heals, emotionally. So she left to Valinor so that she could be free from the burdens and pain she now carries. Elrond has now finished his task as well and went to valinor to be reunited with her wife (fun facts: Elrond is a half elven because he was born with a human and an elf parents but also he got some traces of Maia (angelic beings second in position with Valars Blood)

Galadriel

Actually Galadriel went to middle earth to fight melkor but the Valar stopped them but she disobeyed the Valar and with other elves called Noldor they went to Middle earth. By doing this the noldor elves and Galadriel was now banished from Valinor. By resisting the power of the ring (during the mirror of Galadriel scene where frodo offered her the ring) the ban was lifted. The Noldoer elves helped during the war and in exchange granted them passage to Valinor. (Fun facts: Galadriel is over 7000 yrs old and she is the GRANDMOTHER of Arwen)

Hope that helps
