How thick is required for a Stainless steel top against?
I'm making a stainless steel top counter bar manufacturing home. On the basis of plywood under it, which I need for thick stainless steel? I read that the standard kitchen counter top thickness stainless is 16 gauge, but this is not going to be getting close to that much abuse. 20 gauge is OK or is that too thin?
20 gauge should be fine as long as no wood underneath. Size 16 is what is used in commercial kitchens where there is no structure of plywood or other sub.
